Homer Norris is quite an accomplished artist, as evidenced both by his illustrations in the Parker County Prairie Sketchbook and his numerous paintings. Homer studied commercial and fine arts at the University of Texas at Arlington, and was at one time employed by a printing company as a technical illustrator and art director. He has also worked as a freelance artist, creating artwork for brochures, checks, books, and magazine articles. He continues to draw and paint, and his art has been on display to the public on multiple occasions. Currently some of his paintings are on loan and may be viewed at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford.
